Single Trip / Annual

A single trip policy will cover you for one continuous rental period lasting between 1 and 31 days. An annual policy will cover you for multiple trips within a 12-month period from the date your policy starts. With an annual policy, you can have as many rental agreements as you want, but no single rental period should exceed 60 days.

Start Date
This is the date that you want your policy to start. You can choose any start date between today, and 6 months in the future. Your policy must be purchased and start prior to the commencement of any rental agreement that you wish to have covered under this policy. You can select a start date which is the same as the start of your rental period, provided you have not already collected the vehicle prior to purchasing your insurance policy.

End Date
This is the last day for which you require cover under this policy. For single trip policies, it will usually be the date that you plan to return your rental vehicle. For annual policies, the end date will automatically be 12 months from the date you have chosen to start your policy.

Which type(s) of vehicle would you like covered?
For Single trip polices you can select one vehicle type as your policy is designed to cover a single rental period. If you are buying an annual policy, you can pick multiple vehicle types if you plan to rent them during the next 12 months. There is no option to select an annual policy which only covers you for Trucks/Vans, these must be combined with either a car or motorhome policy. Unsealed Roads
Will you be using unsealed roads such as dirt tracks?
An Unsealed Road is any gazetted road that falls under the responsibility of the Roads Authority that isn't sealed or dressed in a hard material such as tar, bitumen or concrete.

Is the driver aged between 25 and 74?
Please let us know whether you are (or will be) aged between 25 and 74 on the date that this policy starts. If you are buying a policy which is for someone else, we want to know their age, not yours! If you are younger than 25, or older than 74 please select “no”, you can still purchase a policy, but we will also need to know your date of birth before providing you with a quote.

Do you require cover for hiring vehicles in Australia?
As an Australian resident, choosing an annual policy for use overseas, you can also choose to extend this cover so that it can also be used when you are renting vehicles in Australia. Please select "Yes" if you want this cover. If you only plan to rent in the overseas territory that you have already selected, select "No".
